Accessibility statement
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Yago should work for every student and careers adviser who uses it, including people who use a screen reader, move around with a keyboard instead of a mouse, zoom in, or need more time. This statement says how close we are, measured against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
Conformance status
Yago partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some of the content does not yet fully meet the standard.
Of the 55 Level A and AA success criteria, 3 don't apply to Yago. Of the other 52, we meet 48, meet 2 in part and don't yet meet 2. All four are described below.
What this statement covers
The website at yagocareers.io: the home page, pricing, resources and guides, the Higher education pages, contact and the legal pages; a university's own Yago address; logging in, signing up and joining a group; and the tools: the dashboard, CV Lab, interview practice, live interview practice, the LinkedIn evaluator, career direction, remote jobs, challenges and the careers staff dashboard.
It doesn't cover the 5-Day Challenge page (/5daychallenge) or the Yago browser extension, which we haven't assessed.
What isn't accessible yet
- 1.2.3 Audio description or media alternative (Level A) and 1.2.5 Audio description, prerecorded (Level AA): not met
The demo film on the Higher education page has captions, but no audio description and no text version of what it shows. Until it does, the page describes the product in text, and you can book a live walkthrough there.
- 2.2.1 Timing adjustable (Level A): met in part
A live interview practice session ends after 15 minutes and can't be extended. The limit is stated before you start, and the page warns you 2 minutes before the end. A recorded interview answer stops at 3 minutes, because the exercise is a timed answer: the recorder warns you 30 seconds before, and when time runs out your answer is kept so you can submit it or record it again.
- 2.2.2 Pause, stop, hide (Level A): met in part
During a live interview practice session, the sound visualizer moves while the coach speaks, and there's no control to pause it. It stays still while the session is idle and when your device is set to reduce motion.
How we assessed it
This is a self-evaluation by the Yago team, finished on 20 October 2026. We ran automated checks (axe-core) on more than 30 pages and screens at desktop and phone widths, in English and Romanian, and on a university's own address; used the pages with the keyboard alone; and checked visible focus, colour contrast and text reflow at 320 pixels wide. The checks ran in Chromium, the engine behind Chrome and Edge.
We haven't yet tested with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver. That is the next step, and we'll update this statement with what it finds.
Technologies it relies on
Yago relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA, working with your web browser and any assistive technology you use.
